Monica is set to be launched in Brazil

Monica Healthcare is happy to announce an exclusive distribution agreement in Brazil, with Michaelis and Petrelli, following negotiations assisted by AGH (Advanced Global Health) www.aghealth.co.uk.

The Monica AN24 is an innovative, wearable device that accurately monitors FHR, MHR, UA and maternal activity, offering an alternative wireless ambulatory monitoring solution for induction, obesity, L&D and patient satisfaction.

Work has started on a pilot project to implement Monica in six maternity units in the city of Curitiba, where Monica will be used to monitor high risk pregnancies, identified by the ‘Mae Curitibana’ program (Curitiban Mother).

Each maternity unit will receive six AN24s initially. All of the participating hospitals are part of the Brazilian public health system – SUS. The maternity units are also linked to the local medical schools, allowing the project to be accompanied and supported by the university professors.

The Monica AN24, IF24 and other accessories will be on demonstration on Stand: Rua G, 25, Blue Pavilion, at Hospitalar, Sao Paulo 22-25th May.
