Monica AN24 - Features and Benefits

Image of the Monica AN24 Monitor

Fetal Maternal Monitor:

A world first, offering a unique solution for fetal and maternal care in the home, clinic or hospital

Safe:

The Monica AN24 is passive and does not insonate the fetus with potentially harmful ultrasound. Despite the concerns with Doppler Ultrasound monitoring, there has not been a clinically viable alternative until now, leaving Obstetricians and Midwives to apply the ALARA principle

Multi-Parameter:

Fetal and maternal heart rate, uterine activity (EHG), maternal activity, events and fetal movement1

Accurate:

Monica uses ECG (Electro Cardio-Gram) signals detected from the abdomen to determine the fetal and maternal heart rate

Long-Term Recording:

Of both the women and fetus, offering a greater chance of capturing adverse events

Simple Operation:

Just two buttons with no adjustment, the Monica AN24 will work for a minimum of 18hrs or more with no intervention or supervision

Very light and Small:

A discrete wearable device weighing around 100g offering unprecedented patient comfort and mobility

True Beat to Beat Heart Rate:

Unique feature of the Monica AN242

Standardised FHR analysis based on published Dawes/Redman algorithms :

Analysis - Performed in real-time with 1st result tabulated after 15 minutes and updated every 5 minutes

Decision Support - FHR analysis parameters are used to define fetal wellbeing criteria e.g. FIGO

Raw Electrophysiological Signals:

An exciting research opportunity, from fetal behavior to fECG morphology, heart rate variability and drug/procedural trials2

Flexible Connectivity:

Bluetooth and USB technology offering both real-time and store forward monitoring solutions

No display, and no sound on the device:

Reduce patient anxiety, whilst providing the reassurance that the 'at risk' fetus is being monitored round the clock
